Welcome to the age of remembering…..
“Try to remember the time when you lived as if everything that came your way was your purpose. A time when you responded to the unseen the way an unfurled sail responds to the wind. Belief in anything is not a necessity to experience the power of the unseen, only a willingness to be moved is required for the wind to fill one’s sail. (Marcella Guerriero)”

Thanks, Jenny, for that paraphrased quote of my long winded storytelling.
But, I realize that to say one doesn’t need to believe in anything to be moved by the unseen actually still assumes a belief in unseen power. Let’s be clear, if a person does not believe in an unseen spirit world that person could actually be right for all I know. Remember, I’m a devout agnostic. I do not know, literally. I recognize my own idea of unseen spiritual power as an unproven belief.
This is where the idea of Earth as a single living entity comes in. Because it is undeniable fact that none of us can be taken off this planet without life support any more than one of our own brain cells could be taken out of our bodies and live separate from us.
In reality, we do not live ON the Earth, as we have been taught to believe. Actually, we are each an integral part of a living being we call the Earth. So, the unseen power may be the collective life force directing our individual lives when we are open to being directed.
Along with awareness of oneself as integrated into the life of the planet, one must also entertain the idea that one’s skull is not an impermeable barrier separating one from the rest of Earth. But, if one chooses to believe one is entirely alone in one’s head, not integrally connected to all life, my only question would be “Really? And how’s that working for you?”
Personally, I believe intuition is where we all plug in to the life of Earth and, as a result, to each other. We have been taught to ignore our intuitions, errant thoughts, unexpected ideas, sudden remembrances of someone or something out of the blue.
But, while recovering from a moderate traumatic (my favorite oxymoron) brain injury, I’ve learned to take unexpected thoughts of people as instructions to contact them. Over and over again, I contact folks who are struggling with something life changing, have just experienced a death of someone close, or, in a couple of cases, were even near the ends of their own lives.
The unseen, be it spirit or the reality of our collective existence, fills one’s sail when we are open to our intuitions. The dictionary basically defines intuition as ‘knowing without knowing how you know, knowing without any direct perception’. I believe intuition is how we actually feel the subtle stirring of the wind.
